I've made the difficult decision to quit nearly all event grinding and interaction with the wom economy. This game stopped being fun long ago, and I was playing purely because I was obligated to rather than for fun. That is not how games are meant to be played, and I was setting myself up for a complete shutdown that finally happened today.
Truth be told, as much as I talk about how February 2026 was an important month for me when it comes to events, it was also the month where I was at my lowest. All month I was constantly stressed, and I almost fudged my grades because of it. That should've been a sign for me to stop, but alas I decided I wanted to be more ambitious and go for 200K in June... Worst decision ever.
This site was supposed to be fun to play on. Now the servers are getting worse with every update, it's hard to do anything here anymore. I lost a time pb a few days ago to multiple lag spikes, and now my ping is a consistent 250ms. It wasn't like this a month ago.
I really hope that you all understand why I've made these decisions. It's about time I put my mental health first for once instead of wasting my time and energy on something I do not enjoy anymore.
And when I say this, I am NOT quitting minesweeper. I still have unfinished business and would still like to improve. I am NOT boycotting wom, and this has NOTHING to do with the April championship. I'm just tired of what events have become for me and want to stop before it makes me feel any worse than I already do.
