Started playing minesweeper at some point during 2022. Played only Google ms in mobile until september of 2023, when I joined this website. Switched to pc for speed in late 2024.
Probably not grinding trophies anymore, at least for a while. Not upgrading my equip and instead using my resources for bounties and tournaments.

7. Thoughts on eff
Eff is one of the most complex and complicated to master categories in this game, but high scores involve a lot of luck, so it can get frustrating to grind.
Efficiency consists on 2 main skills: finding the optimal clicks and chains, and risk management. The bigger the board, the more the second one matters, so that's why beg eff sucks lol.
There are only 2 correct ways of playing efficiency:
• First is to assume your path is always optimal, even if this leads to low eff. This is what we call minimum clicks efficiency. The easiest configuration to get minimum clicks in is when all the remaining cells are openings. Openings also give a lot of information about the board, so imo they should be valued highly, which contradicts usual high eff gameplay. This is why I have no good int scores (and also because I can't stop choking).
• Second way is normal high efficiency. High efficiency requires getting a good board, which makes it really boring to play because most boards are not good enough. The correct way to play here is to assume the optimal high eff configuration will always happens, which is about fitting the mines in the available space so there are big chords and no cleanup.
I think no one plays exp eff correctly, because we all play "safely" to have a better win rate instead of choosing one of the 2 styles above. Win rate will fall dramatically, but I believe exp eff should be played like exp nf eff, going for every optimal scenario and considering bad sections as a loss (a single click loss would probably be too much)
